Superior Landfill and Recycling Center

Waste Management’s Superior Landfill and Recycling Center, which began operations in 1991, is a municipal solid waste landfill operating in Savannah, GA, Chatham County.  The facility is permitted to accept municipal solid waste, construction/demolition waste, and a variety of special wastes such as asbestos, non-hazardous contaminated soil and sludge.

In addition, Superior Landfill and Recycling Center accepts residual waste streams from industries throughout the area. Acceptable refuse at the landfill is not limited on a daily basis, but our service area is restricted to the waste generated in the state of Georgia. 

The professional team at Superior Landfill and Recycling Center takes great pride in the design, operation, aesthetics and environmental compliance of the facility.  To ensure environmental protection, all waste disposed of at Superior Landfill and Recycling Center has been placed in a Subtitle D compost synthetically lined cells which meet and or exceeds GA EPD (Environmental Protection Division) regulations.
